NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Police say a $40,000 motorcycle was stolen in Brooklyn Friday morning.
Brandon Hochman rode from Los Angeles to New York for charity; but before he could ride back to California, police say his custom motorcycle was stolen in Williamsburg.
“They someone cracked the steering lock and rolled it out of here,” Hochman said. “There’s no hiding this bike. It’s custom 360, all chromed out, one-of-a-kind.”
I’m stranded in New York. My custom made motorcycle was lifted from the streets of Brooklyn. Farmers had fixed the bikes fractured frame and a quarter pound of pepper plugged its popped radiator. Despite its difficulties it had brought me to the starting point of the fourth annual Ride4Humanity charity run, and now it was most likely being scrapped for parts. After almost a month of searching I was about to accept the fact that this year I wouldn’t be able to take part in the ride from New York to Los Angeles. Read it in HotBike Magazine

Brandon Hochman — LA native, the inventor of PETaPOTTY, founder of SKYBARK and winner of the Ride4Haiti — was taking part in the Ride4Humanity’s 7,200 mile pledge to ride across America and back when his 2006 Suzuki GSXR custom motorcycle was stolen on August 29. Hochman was heading from LA and was in Brooklyn, New York, at the time of the crime. Hochman had already completed 3,600 miles of the ride and was about to head back home to LA. WORTHINGTON — A Los Angeles, Calif., native who is making a more than 3,000-mile journey from Los Angeles to New York found himself temporarily stranded in Worthington this week.
Brandon Hochman, a former professional snowboarder and inventor is riding his motorcycle cross country for a cause that is near and dear to his heart — local humane societies — as part of his Ride4Humanity tour.
Animals have always been an important part of Hochman’s life. During his career as a professional snowboarder, he was injured-- spraining both his ankles along with many secondary injuries.
